Lanceleaf Coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata)

Hi! I’m Lanceleaf Coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata), a cheery native flower from Ontario, dressed in radiant yellow. I thrive in prairies and meadows, effortlessly growing in poor, rocky soils. All I ask for is a bit of sunlight and I’ll flourish, droughts don’t bother me one bit!

Gardeners adore having me around. I bloom early in the summer, from June to July, painting landscapes with my vibrant yellow colour. Plus, I’m a magnet for pollinators! Bees, butterflies, and other winged friends simply can’t resist me. If you’d like to add me to your garden, just scatter my seeds in early spring—it’s that simple.

Standing proudly at 1.5 feet tall, I’m a perfect choice for borders where my bright blossoms can really stand out. As a host plant for the Wavy-Lined Emerald moth, you might spot these delicate creatures nearby. Wherever I’m planted, I bring a burst of sunshine and a touch of life!
