Kirsten
Founder and Green Thumb Extraordinaire
Gardening has been a part of my life since childhood, growing up in Germany. As an adult, frequent relocations due to my profession in the creative industry challenged me to adapt my gardening skills to diverse climates and soil conditions—from enduring droughts and dodging deadly spiders in Australia to balcony gardening in Norway and navigating long, harsh winters with shorter growing seasons in Canada.
Each new environment deepened my appreciation for the resilience of plants and the importance of sustainable gardening.
Sharing knowledge and fostering education has been a lifelong passion, and through my experiences, I’ve learned that no matter the location, a garden can thrive with the right approach, care, and community.

Growing up in Canada, surrounded by Mother Nature's beauty, I developed a deep appreciation for the environment from an early age.
With my horticulture diploma and years of experience working in garden centres, botanical gardens, landscaping, and design, I can now share my enthusiasm for plants and the environment with others.
Today, as a dedicated horticulturist focused on garden design, I specialize in crafting gardens that celebrate native plants, promote sustainability, and integrate thriving vegetable spaces. Creativity has always been central to who I am. Designing gardens allows me to merge my love of nature with my creative spirit.
